Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine’s patients benefit from the work of the Foundation everyday. So do people around the world. For instance, Dr. Dennis Collis has recorded and analyzed the results of hip surgery over the last 35 years, resulting in numerous outcome studies on total hip arthroplasty.

The Foundation sponsors annual lectures, including Orthopedics & Sports injuries for the Primary Care Physician. Like Dr. Slocum, Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine physicians strive to incorporate outcomes research in daily patient care. Through the foundation and in their practice, they seek cost-effective prevention and treatment methods for musculoskeletal disorders.
