The Slocum Research & Education Foundation is pleased to accept applications for the 2017 College Scholarship Program for High School Seniors. In 2016, the Slocum Foundation awarded $1,500 to seven talented and well-rounded students who plan to pursue a career in healthcare, health-related research, public or community health.
Each year, the Slocum Foundation is overwhelmed by the scope of talent, academic achievement, and service-minded high school seniors living in our community. This year was no exception. For 2019, our competitive, one-time $1500 awards are going to six college-bound students who will be pursing academic interests leading to a health-related career:

The Slocum Research & Education Foundation’s mission to improve musculoskeletal care across the lifespan through community-based research, education and collaboration. Supporting the development of future healthcare professionals through our annual college scholarship program is one way we work to achieve our mission. The Scholarship Program targets well-rounded students who plan to pursue a career in healthcare, health-related research, public or community health. The purpose of our Scholarship Program is to enable qualified students to pursue their educational goals.
The 2015 college bound high school seniors were our most competitive scholarship pool to date! The Foundation Board was impressed with the high caliber of academic achievement and clear commitment to school and community. After much consideration, we are pleased to announce the 2015 recipients. Each student will receive a one-time $1500 scholarship that will be applied to tuition, books and required supplies.
