Duck Parking Fundraiser
Each year the Slocum Foundation partners with up to 14 local school athletic programs to host our Duck Parking Fundraiser! With the Slocum Center’s excellent walkability to the University of Oregon’s Autzen Stadium and its easy freeway access, this is a prime location for Duck football game parking. This program generates approximal $35,000 per year to improve access to sport by reducing the financial burrier to participation for many local students.
The Foundation also allocates a portion of the proceeds to support the expansion of age-appropriate physical literary training and education in elementary schools across Eugene and Springfield communities. In partnership with associations such as Healthy Moves and the Lane Active Youth Consortium members, the Slocum Foundation participates in a collaborative approach to getting kids moving! Early childhood physical literacy unlocks the potential for life-long enjoyment of physical activity and enhanced athletic performance. Kids who are physically fit enjoy greater academic achievement and higher lifetime earning potential.

Beneficiary Selection
Participating athletic programs are selected in advance of the football season using a lottery system. Interested programs should reach out to the Foundation for more information at sref@slocumfoundation.org.
Eligibility for participation can be found in the Host Guideline Packet for the event. In addition to these guidelines, eligible schools must offer high school level education to provide diverse athletic opportunities and experiences to students.
