Slocum recognizes six graduating high school seniors for academic achievement and service to our community

EUGENE, Oregon -- The board of the Slocum Research & Education Foundation has announced six graduating high school seniors were each awarded a $1,500 scholarship on May 9, 2023. Funded by a donation from the physicians and surgeons at the Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Slocum Foundation's Scholarship Program recognizes well-rounded high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in healthcare, health-related research, public, or community health.

"The recipients of this year's awards are all delightful and have been through significant trials in their lives -- they all persevered through those trials with enthusiasm and integrity" commented Dr. Brick Lantz, orthopedic surgeon at the Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, and President of the Slocum Foundation Board.
